dr hab. Konrad Osajda
Prof. Konrad Osajda, PhD, LLM, MA is a graduate of Faculty of Law and Administration of University of Warsaw and Faculty of Common Law of University of Ottawa where he obtained the Master of Laws degree. He is a holder of Polish post-doctoral law degree (habilitation) and serves as Associate Professor at Warsaw University. He is a member of many prestigious organizations, namely European Law Institute, Asian Institute of International Financial Law (based at Hongkong University) – honorary fellow, and Committee for Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences – scientific secretary. He was awarded numerous scholarships and awards, particularly granted by Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg (twice), Ministry of Higher Education of Poland (award for an outstanding young scholar; twice), Foundation for Polish Science (twice). Being an author of multiple publications and articles, particularly editor in chief of Great Commentary to Polish Private Law (9 volumes to date), his main fields of interest are private law in comparative perspective, law of succession and commercial (corporate) law.
Anna graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw (WpiA UW) with summa cum laude and the highest final grade. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Commercial Law Department at the WPiA UW under the supervision of dr hab Konrad Osajda. Her scientific interests focus on issues of director’s liability, agency problems and comparative law. Anna presented her research at numerous international foreign conferences. She also teaches commercial law classes for students of the WPiA UW. Anna was one of the members of the jury assessing student work in a nationwide competition for the presentation on the I International Conference on Comparative Law.
mgr Mateusz Janicki - PhD student at the Department of Commercial Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, judge’s trainee, author of the master's thesis ``Insolvency and declaration of bankruptcy of the bank``, which was awarded the distinction of Professor Leszek Pawłowicz in the Competition for the Financial Ombudsman Award for the best doctoral, master's, bachelor's and postgraduate dissertation in the field of client protection in the financial market. He conducts exercise classes on commercial law.
Jacek Zębala is a PhD candidate in commercial companies law at the Faculty of Law
and Administration at University of Warsaw. He also works as a senior underwriter at
PZU. As a member of the liability team he specializes in risk assessment as well as
legal analysis in the field of liability insurance contracts, in particular Directors’ and
Officers’ liability insurance, professional indemnity, medical malpractice insurance
and aviation liability insurance.
